# Minimum Word Counts For Scans

Different kinds of scans have different word count minimums.
# Scans on the Website

Scans using the website have a 100-word count minimum. Our scans are often more accurate with more words, so we recommend adding as many words as possible. If you have an entire article, upload the whole thing.

# Scans In The API

AI detection scans in the API have a 50-word count minimum. This allows you to scan anything in the API, so please remember that accuracy is decreased for texts below 100 words.
