# Bulk Scan

**Bulk Scan** allows you to scan multiple documents, spreadsheets, webpages, or other pieces of content in a single workflow. You can select the types of analysis you need and download the completed results for further review.

## What can I scan?

Bulk Scan supports several ways to add content:
* Upload a CSV containing multiple pieces of text
* Upload supported document or spreadsheet files, including `.docx`, `.pdf`, `.txt`, `.rtf`, `.xlsx`, and `.csv`
* Submit a list of webpage URLs
* Import URLs from a sitemap, when this option is available

The upload limits displayed in your account apply to the entire batch.

## How to run a Bulk Scan

1. Open the [Bulk Scan page](https://app.originality.ai/home/bulk-scans).
2. Choose the appropriate upload option.

4. If you upload a spreadsheet with multiple columns, select the column containing the content you want to scan.
5. Select the scan types you want to run, such as AI detection or plagiarism detection.
6. Review the estimated credit usage.
7. Click **Start Scan**.

Bulk scans may take some time to finish, depending on the amount of content submitted and the selected scan types. You will receive an email when your results are ready.

## Scanning URLs and websites

You can use Bulk Scan to analyze multiple webpages without submitting each page separately.

Depending on the options available in your account, you can:
* Paste or upload a list of URLs
* Provide a sitemap and import the URLs contained in it

When using a sitemap, Originality.ai retrieves the URLs listed in the sitemap. It does not independently crawl your website to discover additional pages.

Where available, exported URL results may also include page information such as:
* URL
* Page title
* Author
* Category
* Publication date

## Reviewing your Bulk Scan results

When processing is complete, return to the Bulk Scan page and select **View results**.

The results page provides a summary of the batch and the results for each submitted item. Depending on the scan types selected, you may see:
* AI detection scores
* Plagiarism scores and matching-source details
* Scan status
* File or input type
* Additional page details for URL-based scans

Select an individual result to review it in more detail.

You can also search, sort, and filter your Bulk Scan history. Available filters may include file type, scan type, completion date, and score thresholds.

## Downloading results

You can download your Bulk Scan results for offline analysis, record keeping, or sharing with your team.

If filters have been applied to the results, you may also be able to export only the filtered items.

### How long does a Bulk Scan take?
Processing time depends on the number and size of the submitted items and the scan types selected. Originality.ai will email you when the batch is complete.

### Will I see the required credits before starting?
The estimated credit usage is displayed before the scan begins so you can review the expected cost.

### Can I scan an entire website?
You can submit a list of webpage URLs or import URLs from a sitemap. Originality.ai scans the submitted URLs rather than automatically crawling the website for additional pages.

### Can I run more than one scan type?
Yes. You can select the available scan types you want to apply to the batch before starting it.

### Can I review an individual item?
Yes. Select **View results**, then open an individual result to see its detailed scores and findings.
